Our impact for our students

Our aim is to prepare our students well for the healthcare and society of the future. We give shape to this under the name The New Utrecht School. inter-professional learning and multidisciplinary education in a diverse and inclusive environment.

The New Utrecht School

Our education strategy called The New Utrecht School stands for cooperation between disciplines in the training of (future) healthcare and health professionals.

Diversity and inclusiveness

We want to offer a diverse and inclusive learning environment in which students feel that they can be themselves and where they belong.

Collaborating with patients in education

To reinforce and improve our education, we make use of patients’ unique expertise based on their experience.

For 88% of our courses, 80% or more of the students indicate that they are ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’.

Planetary Health and sustainability

Planetary health and sustainability are becoming an increasingly integral part of our healthcare, research, and education.

Student wellbeing

In 2023 we worked on improving the wellbeing and resilience of our students. For instance through the movement This is Us.

‘Top Program’ label

Our bachelor programs in Medicine and in Biomedical Sciences both (once again) received the ‘Topopleiding’ (‘top program’) label.
