Digitalization

Based on our Connecting Worlds strategy, we have developed a long-term vision for IT. In 2022 we translated this into a practical roadmap with five digital goals:

  1. Digital communication with patients and professionals

  2. Data platform and data management

  3. An engine for regional and national cooperation

  4. User-friendly, reliable and safe systems

  5. Technological innovation

To raise awareness of digitalization, we organized eight master classes on digitalization in 2022. Colleagues from UMC Utrecht took turns to talk about the digital goals and actions. The master classes could be followed online, and doctors and nurses got accreditation scores for it.

IT security

In 2022 we took significant steps to have more control over IT risks in divisions and departments, through more intensive and structural cooperation and by providing risk-management tooling. We also worked hard on replacing the fixed network. In 2022, with the help of an external consulting firm, training/practice in cyber security also took place with the entire Executive Board, the Chief Information Officer, and the Chief Information Security Officer. Audits for the financial statement (IT General Controls), Security certifications (ISO27001 and NEN7510), and for the use of DigiD were completed successfully.
